Patty Arvielo Receives Business Award from LA Times Latinos de Hoy

Tustin, CANew American Funding, a national mortgage banker, announced today that its President, Patty Arvielo, has been named the recipient of the Business Award presented by the LA Times and Hoy newspapers and will be recognized at the Latinos de Hoy (LDH) Awards ceremony.

This 4th annual bicultural event salutes the contributions Latinos make to America by honoring those who have exemplified leadership, service, and dedication amongst peers and to the next generation.  LDH selected Arvielo due to her achievements in business coupled with the fact that her demonstrated qualities and character are in alignment with the attributes the organization aims to spotlight.

“I am honored to be recognized for my accomplishments as a business owner and a Latina because I am passionate about the work I do in the mortgage industry to improve lending options within the Hispanic community. For the past 30 years, it’s been my mission to make homeownership a reality for more Latinos, so it’s humbling to receive this prestigious award,” said Arvielo.

Not only does Arvielo manage operations and sales for New American Funding’s headquarters, branches, and 2000+ employees, she continues impacting the community through initiatives such as Latino Focus Committee, which she created to address challenges Hispanic consumers face in pursuit of homeownership; she also serves on the Corporate Board of Governors for the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals.

The LDH Business Award is the latest in a line of recent accolades Arvielo has received, which include recognition as an Elite Woman in Mortgage by MPA, and Entrepreneur of the Year for Orange County by Ernst & Young.

Arvielo will accept the LDH Award during a live show at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, CA on Sunday, October 9, 2016.
