New American Fundingannounced today that its Builder Business Development Manager Karen Chiu was recognized at the National Asian Real Estate Association of America (AREAA) Convention, for being the #7 Mortgage Loan Originator in volume and #9 in units funded. Based on 2015 production, Chiu funded $52 million in loans and 139 units, earning her a position on AREAA’s annual “A” List, which recognizes top producers serving Asian-American home owners and communities.

“I’m thrilled to be recognized by AREAA because being acknowledged by my own industry professionals as one of the top producers in America is a tremendous honor,” said Chiu. “It’s always my commitment to work hard for my clients and provide them with excellent service. I believe the alignment of my core values with New American Funding’s dedication to meeting the needs of communities and clients, have allowed me to continue excelling in this industry.”

Chiu joined New American Funding in 2014, bringing more than 20 years of mortgage experience to her present position and has closed more than 2000 units since she began originating loans in 2005. Chiu works with a wide range of clients from first-time buyers to jumbo loan applicants, and serves the residential new home construction market in Greater Los Angeles.

“We’re excited that Karen, one of our top-notch Loan Originators, has received this impressive national recognition,” said Patty Arvielo, President of New American Funding. “Her diligence and expertise have been outstanding assets to our team so it’s not surprising that this type of commitment has landed her amongst the best in the nation. “

New American Funding named Chiu to its President’s Council in 2015 for being one of its high-performing Loan Originators and recognized her as an elite Loan Originator in its Top Gun program.
