New American Funding, a national mortgage banker, was recently named as one of the Best Places to Work in Orange County by the Orange County Business Journal and Best Companies Group.

This survey and awards program was designed to recognize and honor the best employers in Orange County. The list is separated into three categories: small, medium and large-sized companies. With approximately 550 employees, New American Funding fits into the large-sized category of Best Places to Work in Orange County.

The determination of companies that make the list is based on two parts: the first part, worth 25% of the total evaluation, considers the company's workplace policies, practices, philosophies, systems and demographics. The second part, worth 75% of the total evaluation, is based on an employee survey that measures the employee experience. The scores are combined and used to identify the top companies and the final rankings.

The final rankings will be published in the Orange County Business Journal's report on the Best Places to Work, released in October 2012.
