New American Funding, a national mortgage banker, today announces the release of the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals’ list of Top 250 Latino Mortgage Originators in the U.S. for 2015. NAHREP is an organization whose mission is to advance sustainable Hispanic homeownership, by educating and empowering the real estate professionals who serve Hispanic homebuyers and sellers.

The recently published list is a ranking based on total number of loans closed during the 2014 calendar year, with eligibility limited to individuals with at least 25% ethnic background being of Hispanic or Latino origin. Wells Fargo had the most originators on the list, followed by New American Funding.

Claudia Sandez, New American Funding’s top originator for this award, commented, “Being recognized as one of NAHREP’s 250 Top Latino Mortgage Loan Originators is an unexpected but pleasant surprise.  I am appreciative and grateful for the recognition, knowing that all the hard work and dedication to helping others doesn’t go unnoticed.  I just feel blessed to be able to help Latino families to reach their dream of home ownership. ”

In alignment with the mission of NAHREP, New American Funding launched their own Latino Focus Committee in 2013. The mission of the group is to identify and address challenges Hispanic consumers face in their pursuit of homeownership and to enhance the quality of their lending experience.  Both groups recognize the importance of incorporating Hispanic and Spanish-speaking loan originators within the industry in order to connect with the Latino community.
