New American Funding is pleased to announce its President and Co-Founder Patty Arvielo has been named 2014 "Entrepreneur Leader of the Year" by the National Latina Business Women Association of Los Angeles. The National Latina Business Women Association (NLBWA) works to promote, develop and support the rapid growth of Latina business owners, professionals and their families.

Ms. Arvielo, a first generation Latina American, is well known industry wide for "walking the walk" as a business leader, mortgage loan originator – maintaining an active book of business even in her current capacity as President of New American Funding, and well recognized as an active homeownership advocate for the Latino community.

Ms. Arvielo serves on the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professional's (NAHREP) Corporate Board of Governors and the Freddie Mac Community Lender Advisory Board. She frequents Washington, D.C. working to advance best interests of industry and underserved consumer markets in their pursuit of homeownership.

In 2013, Ms. Arvielo spearheaded the formation of the New American Funding Latino Focus Committee, a first of its kind in-house group working to identify and address challenges faced by Hispanic consumers in their pursuit of homeownership while enhancing the quality of their lending experience. Her Board position and involvement in the Big Brothers and Big Sisters of Orange County program led to New American Funding’s participation in the Beyond School Walls program, allowing local Orange County students to receive mentoring from New American Funding employees while they experience the corporate world for the first time.

NLBWA, Los Angeles, will hold its annual award ceremony, where Ms. Arvielo will receive the "Entrepreneur Leader of the Year" honors as well as serve as one of the evening's featured speakers, on Thursday June 26th, 2014 from 7-10pm at the Television Academy’s Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre in North Hollywood.
