New American Fundingannounced today that Profiles in Diversity Journal has selected its President, Patty Arvielo, as an outstanding executive and named her one of the 2016 recipients of the Women Worth Watching Award, which recognizes women from around the world who are making a difference in their organizations.
Arvielo joins the ranks of elite women leaders worldwide who are making a significant impact toward diversity and inclusion. She is highlighted in the 15th Anniversary Edition for being a woman of character, passion, and achievement. “Since beginning my journey in business, it has been my desire to positively influence both the mortgage industry and the lives of everyone I contact; so it’s an honor to be recognized with this prestigious award for being a trailblazer who is leading a pathway of excellence in the workplace and world,” said Arvielo.
Arvielo manages operations and sales for New American Funding’s headquarters, branches, and 2000+ employees, and she is impacting the community through initiatives such as Latino Focus Committee, which she created as an avenue to empower Hispanic consumers in pursuit of homeownership. Arvielo is a member of the Corporate Board of Governors for the National Association of Hispanic Real Estate Professionals, serves on the affordable lending panels for Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, and is a member of the Mortgage Bankers Association’s Consumer Affairs Advisory Council and Diversity and Inclusion Committee.
Recently, Arvielo has received numerous accolades for her distinguished leadership including being named as Entrepreneur of the Year for Orange County by Ernst & Young, Elite Woman in Mortgage by MPA, and the 2016 Business Award winner by LA Times Latinos de Hoy.
Arvielo will receive a crystal award for being a Woman Worth Watching.
